OUR MISSION
It is the mission of the Hockwalt Adult Resource & Transition Training Center (HARTT) to prepare students (with support from staff, friends, colleagues, and family) to make informed decisions regarding present and future plans about vocational placement, living arrangements, and recreation. HARTT Center focus areas include:
- Personal growth
- Self-advocacy
- Community access
Support is provided to facilitate healthy, safe, and meaningful experiences within age-appropriate natural community settings.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Adult Transition Program serves students 18-22 years old with disabilities who have received a high school Certificate of Completion or Alternate Pathways Diploma and have significant needs for support as they transition to adulthood.
The Adult Transition Program aids in the development of young adults with special needs into positive, productive, and contributing members of society.
Students who attend HARTT are referred through the Individual Education Plan (IEP) process.
